When you turn on the engine of this first-year Chevrolet Camaro… it returns the favor! This American pony car appeared in dealerships on September 29, 1966 for the 1967 model year, on a brand-new rear-wheel drive GM F-body. Nothing screams American muscle more than a first-generation Chevrolet Camaro. Their power, performance and smooth lines are why more than 50 years later they’re still a favorite among car enthusiasts. This particular one has a rock solid body that is laser straight with the fit of the panels being as good as any you will find, gaps are good, and paint presents better than new with beautiful clear coat sealing the bumblebee stripe around the front end… The badging, brightwork, chrome bumpers and trim are all in great condition. Its black convertible top is like new, and the rear plastic window is clear. A swing of the vinyl covered door panels, reveals shiny vinyl bucket seats in very nice condition. These flank the optional center console. The iconic deep round gauges front an original steering wheel. Independent front suspension, and rear mono leaf springs are seen underneath. It has Power Steering and Power Disc Brakes… an aftermarket throaty exhaust and heavy-duty aluminum radiator. This machine was obviously built with the driver in mind… that’s why you have great vintage performance features, like those bucket seats and center console, and Chevy’s classic three-spoke sports steering wheel. The shining small block under the hood looks like it’s radiating with power… and that’s because it is! The Camaro was Chevrolet’s ”up-yours” response to ford’s Mustang, and that rivalry is alive today. So… If you want a car with pin yourself in the seat acceleration and classic good looks that never get old… and value that will always go up if maintained properly… here you go!
